From Tolito Aguirre to Jose Luis González, a big weekend begins in Morocco
June 18, 2026
Just over two months after reaching the final at the FIP Silver in Aguascalientes, Tolito Aguirre returns to the CUPRA FIP Tour, this time competing in the men’s FIP Bronze Morocco Padel International Tour FRMT 3 in Kénitra. The Argentine will make his debut on Friday evening alongside Morocco’s number one player, Mohamed Alami, runner-up at the FIP Bronze in Hamburg earlier this month with Javi Rico and a quarter-finalist in Alexandria last month alongside Samuel Alos. Also competing at the Centre Multisport will be Álvaro Meléndez and Jose Luis González (second seeds, behind Aguirre–Alami), with González targeting a 15th title on the circuit.
Meléndez and González will open the day at 16:00 local time on the Central Court against Sweden’s Ottoson/Parment, followed by one of the most anticipated pairs, José Solano Marmolejo and Ramiro Pereyra. The third seeds are aiming for their fourth title together in 2025, after strong performances at the FIP Bronze events in Syracuse and Viseu in March and in Pembroke at the end of May. Their opening match will be against Oussama Zebakh and the young Mohammed Islam Zebakh, born in 2010. All eyes will also be on Morocco’s number three ranked player Adam Moumar, who will partner Mario Huete against a pair coming through qualifying. Following the opening day, the tournament will continue on Saturday with the second round and quarter-finals, before semi-finals and finals are played on Sunday.
