Maldonado and Dal Bianco show: the argentine pair triumph in Iquique
June 29, 2026
Great victory in Chile: Argentinians Maximo Maldonado and Franco Dal Bianco, the No.3 seeds in the tournament, triumphed at the FIP Bronze Chile IV in Iquique by defeating the pair that topped the draw, Juani Rubini and Francisco Britos, 6-3 6-1 in the final. In the semi-finals and quarter-finals, the two champions defeated Lautaro Mambrini-Matias Segura (3-6 6-4 6-2) and Teo Gamondi-Luca Santino Cortese (6-0 6-7 6-3), respectively. This success is significant for the winners as it confirms their excellent form and the strong understanding between them as a pair. They had already reached the final of last week’s FIP Silver Narbona in France. Maldonado had already won the FIP Silver in Joinville, Brazil, this year alongside Luciano Puppo. Dal Bianco, meanwhile, claimed the FIP Bronze titles in San Antonio, Chile, and Ijui, Brazil, in 2026. “Champions of the FIP Bronze Iquique” said Dal Bianco after the triumph.
