Melero-Zurita also win in Selangor to claim their sixth victory together

After their victory in Istanbul at the beginning of June, Miguel Melero and Nico Zurita secured another success together by winning the FIP Bronze High Velocity Selangor in Malaysia. This was their sixth title as a pair: the two titles won in 2026 are joined by the four they claimed last year. The champions lifted the trophy thanks to their two-set victory over Simone Cremona and Antonio Luque in the final (7-5 6-3). In the semi-finals, they overcame Christian Medina Murphy and Alberto Garcia in a match decided only in the third set (7-6 3-6 6-2).

In the women’s draw, the title went to the pair of Carla Fernandez and Nerea Guerra who, after defeating Kotomi Ozawa and Gimena Sol Perez 6-2 6-2 in the semi-finals, also overcame Ainize Santamaria and Clarinha Santos, recent winners of the FIP Bronze Dakar, at the end of a closely contested final decided in the third set (4-6 6-1 6-3). Fernandez and Guerra have already claimed three other CUPRA FIP Tour titles this year: the FIP Bronze Isla de la Palma and the FIP Bronze and Silver events held in Melbourne in January.
