Kurz-Koek, what a partnership! From China to Indonesia, second title in a row

First China, now Indonesia. Back together on court after eight months, Victoria Kurz and Marcella Koek have confirmed their strong partnership with a second consecutive title on the CUPRA FIP Tour. After last week’s FIP Silver in Pingyuan, the German and the Dutch player also celebrated victory at the FIP Bronze in Banten — the second consecutive tournament in Indonesia after the Jakarta event held from 7-12 July — defeating Elsa Terranova and Angelina Neizvestnaya in the final (6-3 6-2). Overall, this is their third title as a pair, a journey that began with their triumph at the FIP Bronze Westerbork last year, alongside two more finals reached (FIP Silver Hyderabad and FIP Bronze Crete III). Kurz has now climbed to 72nd place in the FIP Ranking, her best position to date.

In the men’s draw, Marc Bernils claimed his second title in Indonesia, having already won the FIP Bronze Jakarta last year. This time, success came alongside Carlos Marti: playing together for the first time, the fifth seeds defeated fourth seeds Pastor/Kviatkovski in straight sets (6-4 6-1). “First tournament together, first victory. What a way to start this journey. Thank you, Carlos, for your hard work, trust, and partnership. This is only the beginning, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us”, commented Marti after the win.
