Alhaurín de la Torre and Mol events: NextGen ready to showcase its talent in Spain and Belgium

Weekends go hand in hand with the FIP Promises Tour. In addition to the tournament in Bali, which set a record for the number of registered pairs (138) at an Asian event on the circuit dedicated to the best of the NextGen, two more events are scheduled: the FIP Promises Diputación De Málaga, in Alhaurín de la Torre (Spain), and the FIP Promises R3 Bullpadel Cup Mol, in Belgium.

 

In Alhaurín de la Torre, there will be several days of competition involving the players registered across the eight draws (Under 12, 14, 16 and 18 for both boys and girls). The pairs seeded to challenge for the title in the oldest age category are Sofia Martinez Gilabert-Ruth Petit Segarra in the girls’ draw and Samu Rivas-Alejandro Calahorro Garcia in the boys’ draw. Rivas has also already shown that he can achieve major results on the CUPRA FIP Tour: he claimed the first title of his career by winning the FIP Bronze event in Helsingborg, Sweden, last March. In the girls’ Under 16, meanwhile, the contest will be between the No. 1 seeds, Fabiola Polvillo-Gema Calvo Perez, and the duo of Valeria Prado Gomez and Ainara Andoin Amengual. Matches at this event will be played at the ‘Pistas Municipales Francis Ceballos’.

 

At the Belgian event, four draws will be held for boys (Under 12, 14, 16 and 18) and three for girls (Under 14, 16 and 18). The oldest boys’ age category is led by the pair of Dutchman Jans Daan and Sweden Junior Brydolf, while the girls’ Under 18 field includes Loiss Reints-Jolien Temmermans, Zoey Komander-Goebel Finja and Hedvig Oberg-Savannah Johansson. The boys’ Under 18 draw is led by the No. 1 seeds: home player Rune Keppens and Oliver Granthman. Keppens will arrive in Mol with one objective: to challenge for the title in front of his home crowd.
