Contreras-Lopez unstoppable, the “misioneros” continue their run in Paraguay

Just days after their triumph at the FIP Silver Camboriú, Santino Contreras and Facundo Lopez have done it again, winning the FIP Bronze Munich Ultra in Ciudad del Este, the second CUPRA FIP Tour event of the season in Paraguay. The pair completed a perfect weekend by defeating Paraguayan talent Facundo Dehnike and Manuel Gayone in the final (3-6 7-6 6-4). A victory that confirms the extraordinary form of the two Argentines from Misiones, who have turned their Brazilian success into another title.

 

For 2010-born Santino Contreras, it is his fourth CUPRA FIP Tour title. Another milestone in a season in which the young Argentine has been one of the players in the spotlight, becoming one of the youngest players to compete in the main draw of a Premier Padel tournament, in Buenos Aires. Last June in Lanzarote, Contreras won the title alongside Dehnike, who this time found himself on the other side of the net in the Ciudad del Este final.

 

Facundo Lopez’s progress continues as well, with the Argentine enjoying a standout 2026 season. After winning the FIP Gold Shanghai, the FIP Bronze La Nucía and the two consecutive titles in Camboriú and Ciudad del Este, Lopez continues his rise, reaching number 90 in the FIP Ranking.
