San Luis, Day2. Ramme starts with a win. Quarter-finals and semi-finals today
August 21, 2026
There was great anticipation in San Luis for the debut of Camila Ramme, the third seed in the women’s draw. Partnering American Brittany Dubins, Ramme did not disappoint, defeating Spain’s Nerea Darbis and Venezuela’s Lorena Marruffo 6-1 6-1. Today, Ramme/Dubins will face Argentina’s Sofia Luini and Belen Mosca in the quarter-finals and, potentially, the semi-finals: two rounds will be played in Mexico today, determining the finalist pairs. Marta Borrero and Julia Polo needed three sets to overcome Propato/Giusti Gomes; also still in contention among the Mexican pairs are Gallardo/Vazquez and wild cards Campa/Ortiz.
In the men’s draw, meanwhile, Kevin Uriel Kviatkovski and Mirko Kloster continue their run. The two Argentinians also overcame compatriots Francisco Coirini and Fernando Agustin Vega, confirming themselves as the only unseeded pair to reach the quarter-finals. Among the top pairs, José Luis Gonzalez and Alvaro Melendez had the toughest time in the round of 16: after losing the first set 6-2 to Andres Graupera and Mateo Alvarez, they came back to win the next two 7-5 6-4. It will also be a double-header in the men’s draw today, with the finals scheduled for tomorrow: Alex Ruiz and Franco Dal Bianco will face Nacho Archieri and Pablo Sanchez, while Juani Rubini and Alex Chozas will take on Tonet Sans and Gustavo Nunes.
