Taranto at the centre of the world: Padel at the Mediterranean Games live in 244 countries and territories

A first edition destined to remain in the memory: from 22 to 28 August, Parco Mediterraneo Salinella in Taranto will become the capital of international Padel for the XX Mediterranean Games. For seven days, athletes from 18 nations will compete for the first historic medals in the men’s, women’s and mixed events. An unprecedented event that will connect the Padel community from every corner of the world.
AN EVENT WITHOUT BORDERS The main hub for the event will be Eurovision Sport: the digital platform will stream the matches live worldwide via web, app and smart TV, reaching a record 244 countries and territories around the world, covering almost the entire global geographical map. From the matches on Saturday 22 to the excitement of “Super Friday” on 28 August, fans in every corner of the world will have a front-row seat at Parco Salinella to follow the tournament live and access on-demand content. A digital venue designed to bring together the passion of the Mediterranean region and the international Padel community in one major sporting story.
THE PROGRAMME The action will begin on Saturday 22 August with the opening rounds of the men’s and women’s draws. On Sunday 23, the mixed event will make its debut, setting the competition on its path towards the quarter-finals on Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 and the semi-finals on Thursday 27. On 28 August the highlight will be “Super Friday”: the morning will feature the bronze-medal matches, followed by the three major finals that will award the first historic titles.
