Applause for Ajenjo and Cravo in São João da Madeira

After the finals in Burgos and Malaga, young Spanish talent Marco Ajenjo returned to winning ways at FIP Promises São João da Madeira, strengthening his position at the top of the continental FIP Promises Ranking with a double victory. The 14-year-old Spaniard won the Under 16 and Under 14 boys’ titles alongside Adam Salhi on his first appearance as a pair; in the latter category, Ajenjo has now moved up to third place in the overall standings. At OPA São João da Madeira, there was also more success for Francisca Cravo, one of Portugal’s top young talents: alongside Beatriz Gueiral, Cravo won the Under 16 girls’ title and moved into the top 15 of the European ranking in the category, while she is now second in the Under 14 standings. Finland’s Joa Takala also stood out, winning the Under 18 boys’ title alongside Spaniard Gabriel Lara.
