Celebration for Guimet-Gibson in Morocco: the pair take the Casablanca crown

Aimee Gibson and Eugenia Guimet will leave Morocco with a special item in their luggage: the FIP Bronze Shell Casablanca champions’ trophy. After defeating Natalia Molinilla and Ana Cristina Sanchez in the semi-finals at the end of a closely fought match (4-6 7-5 7-6), the two players claimed the title by beating the young pairing of 21-year-old Maria Laura Ferreyra and 17-year-old Matilde Minelli 6-4 6-2. For both Guimet and Gibson, this was their second CUPRA FIP Tour title of the year: the former triumphed at FIP Bronze Mallorca, while the latter won FIP Bronze Doha.

In the men’s draw, the two winners also claimed their second title of 2026: Javi Collantes and Asier Martinez, winners of FIP Bronze Madrid at the end of August. The pair were outside the top eight seeds, but managed to impose their game at every stage of the tournament. In the final, the two Spaniards defeated No. 1 seeds Pablo Pastor and Luis Oliver Artigas after a closely fought match that was decided only in the third-set tie-break (6-4 4-6 7-6). In the semi-finals, the winners had defeated Alberto Gasca Romero-Jose Pedro Montalban (6-7 6-4 6-2).
