De Kroon and Prins in Marnes in search of a seventh title: challenge against the French

In France in search of their seventh title as a pair on the CUPRA FIP Tour. Dutchmen Youp De Kroon and Julian Prins lead the men’s draw at FIP Bronze Marnes II, which gets under way on Thursday in Marnes-La-Coquette, just outside Paris. The main draw features 32 pairs, including, alongside the number 1 seeds, Nacho Moragues partnering 19-year-old Timeo Fonteny, who competed at the Mediterranean Games last week (2). Among the French players looking for valuable FIP Ranking points are Yoan Boronad — Fonteny’s partner at the Mediterranean Games — and Jeremy Robert (8). Thomas Leygue and Jesus Moya (3) are the leading pair in the top half of the draw, while the bottom half features another French pairing formed by Joahn Bergeron and Julien Seurin.

 

Ana Varo and Marcella Koek lead the women’s entry list, with Catherine Rose and Rebeca Lopez as the main contenders for the title. The Spanish and Dutch pairing will begin their campaign against French duo Barla/Lambert Agosti, while the number 2 seeds will also face two home players, Marie-Amelie Dardaine and Clara Mansart. Among the other leading pairs in the draw are Italian Martina Parmigiani alongside Maria Portillo (3), and the other two Italian players, Giulia Sussarello and Emily Stellato (4).
