Double celebration in San Luis Potosí for the Batarse brothers

A weekend to remember for the young Batarse brothers, who starred at FIP Promises San Luis Potosí in Mexico. Emilio and Bernardo secured a double victory: in the Under 14, where they were the number 1 seeds, the two 14-year-olds defeated Paulo Miguel Gutierrez and Cesar Lionel De Anda in two sets (6-1 6-2), while in the Under 16, as the number 2 seeds, they came from behind to beat the number 1 seeds, José Pablo Garza and Santiago Castro, in a super tie-break (2-6 7-6 10-6). In the Under 18, victory went to young US talent Diego De La Cruz, making his FIP Promises debut in Mexico alongside Aaron Alvarez, after a tournament in which they did not drop a single set.

The San Luis Potosí event was the first FIP Promises stop of the season in Mexico, with the Tour returning at the beginning of November for the event in Aguascalientes.
