Luttikhuis returns to Asia: after Kuala Lumpur success, sets her sights on Phuket
September 10, 2026
Almost four and a half months after the end of the series of CUPRA FIP Tour tournaments held in Asia, where she won the FIP Bronze Kuala Lumpur alongside fellow Dutch player Marcella Koek, Dutch woman Bo Luttikhuis will return to the Asian continent to compete for victory at the FIP Bronze High Velocity Phuket in Thailand. This time, she will take to the court with Janine Hemmes, also from the Netherlands. Together, they were finalists at last week’s Italian FIP Bronze tournament in Sassuolo. Jimena Diaz, winner of the FIP Bronze Joinville, is another player to watch. In 2026, in addition to the Brazilian event, she also claimed the FIP Bronze Singapore title alongside the player she will partner in Thailand: Alba Vazquez. The pairs Elsa Terranova-Angelina Neizvestnaya (3) and Kotomi Ozawa-Lucia Rosa Vadillo (4) will be aiming to play a leading role.
There is also a player in the men’s draw returning to Asia after a major success achieved just under three months ago. In mid-June, Julian Lacamoire became FIP Gold Shanghai champion. The Argentine will arrive in Thailand this week with one objective: to repeat his success on the continent by winning the FIP Bronze High Velocity Phuket. This time, he will take to the court with Spaniard Adrian Ronco Lopez, winner of the FIP Bronze Astorga. The pairing of Jordi Casanova and Miguel Melero (2) are the main contenders for the title. In 2026, the latter has claimed the title at three CUPRA FIP Tour events: the FIP Bronze Selangor, Istanbul and Yogyakarta. The former became FIP Silver Melbourne and FIP Bronze Samui champion. Also in contention are Antonio Varo-Bohou Zhang (4) and Hector Vazquez-Alvaro Lopez (3).
The main draw of this tournament will begin on Friday 11 September and conclude on Sunday 13 September, when the semi-finals and finals will be played.
