Utrecht, Rama Valenzuela returns to winning ways: first title since April injury

In August, following his elimination from the Premier Padel P1 in London, Rama Valenzuela said: “I was playing well before the injury in April. Since I came back, I have not yet managed to reach that level, but I work hard every day to get back to my best form.”  One month on from those words, the Argentine can finally celebrate a title victory again: alongside Dani Santigosa, he won the FIP Silver Padel Copa Utrecht 2026 after defeating Thijs Roper and Joao Maria Caiano in the final 6-4 7-5. In the semi-finals, the champions defeated Julian Prins and Youp De Kroon 6-4 6-2.

The women’s title was won by Justine Pysson and Elyne Boeykens. The two Belgians, after defeating Raquel Piltcher and Christina-Styliani Ntanou 6-1 7-6 in the semi-finals, overcame Lisa Groenveld and Stephanie Weterings 6-4 7-5. This was the champions’ second title of the year together, having also triumphed at the FIP Bronze Hello Padel, also held in the Netherlands. This tournament was held at the stunning Zomerstadion Utrecht, in front of a large and enthusiastic crowd.
