An Argentine pair take centre stage in Viña del Mar: Gayone and Guevara claim the throne

VIÑA DEL MAR – Among the many Argentine players competing at FIP Bronze Viña del Mar, the pair of Manu Gayone and Axel William Guevara stood out above the rest. After defeating fellow Argentines Mateo Alvarez-Antonio Graupera in the semi-finals with a pair of 6-4 sets, they went on to claim the title with a 6-1, 7-5 victory over Geremias Caluva and Martin Zuniga. The matches at this tournament were played at Club Del Bosque. Alongside the winners, Argentina was the standout nation at this South American stop on the CUPRA FIP Tour: 14 of the 16 players among the top eight seeds were Argentine. The remaining two were the United States’ Vinny Nahuel Di Francesco and Matias Segura.
