October 17, 2026
From Italy to Spain. For many players, the week that began at the Allianz Cloud with the Oysho Milano Premier Padel P1 continues at the FIP Gold Ciudad de Sevilla. Everyone faces a double-header today, with the round of 16 and quarter-finals on the schedule, while the semi-finals and final will be played on Sunday. In Friday’s opening round, the tournament’s leading seeds made a positive start. In the men’s draw, Nacho Piotto and Javi Barahona beat the lucky losers Munoz/Arranz 6-2 6-3, while number 2 seeds Enrique Goenaga and Guille Collado came from a set down to defeat 3-6 6-4 6-4 qualifiers Ferreyra/Gutierrez. Alvaro Montiel and Dani Santigosa (4) needed two tie-breaks to beat Munoz/Huete.
In the women’s draw, number 1 seeds Lucia Sainz and Leti Manquillo began their campaign with a 6-3 6-1 win over Ainhoa Navarro and Marta Eugenio, the latter being the twin sister of Raquel, who reached the quarter-finals in Milan. And speaking of twins, there was no joy for Ana and Adolfina Caballero Vico, who were beaten 6-0 6-1 by Alix Collombon and Ksenia Sharifova (3). Rebeca Lopez and Catherine Rose (9) had a tougher opening match of the weekend, beating Arteaga/Gomez 6-2 2-6 6-2. The round of 16 starts today at 10:00 CEST, with the quarter-finals scheduled for not before 16:00. Saturday’s and Sunday’s matches will be streamed live on the FIP YouTube channel.
