October 7, 2026
ASUNCIÓN – Of the 16 players making up the top eight pairs in the men’s draw at FIP Bronze Paraguay IV, 14 are Argentine. The No. 1 seeds are Francisco Maier and Maximo Jesus Maldonado. The latter has already claimed two CUPRA FIP Tour titles in South America in 2026: one at FIP Bronze Iquique in Chile and the other at the FIP Silver in Joinville, Brazil. Argentine Luciano Puppo will also be one to watch, partnering Alan Hurtado. Also in the field are Leonardo Yob and Naim Horacio Diaz, winners of FIP Bronze Paraguay III in Asuncion at the beginning of September. Among the Argentine pairs to watch, alongside the three already mentioned, are Lautaro Mambrini-Mateo Alvarez and Thiago Pinto-Joaquin De Astoreca.
The Paraguayan stop on the CUPRA FIP Tour promises an equally competitive women’s draw. The top seeds are the Mexican Camila Ramme and Brazilian Julia Giusti Gomez. Ramme has won six titles on the circuit this year. In addition, at the end of August she reached the final of her home FIP Gold event in San Luis, Mexico. The pairs featuring Sofia Luini-Maria Belen Mosca, Catalina Arancibia-Kimberley Ahumada Carrasco and Laura Afonso Mass-Sofia Piaskowy Santos will also be among those to watch in Asunción. The main draw of the tournament will begin on Friday 9 October and conclude on Sunday 11 October.
