Luna and Meléndez triumph in Alkmaar. Pysson-Boeykens claim the women’s title

ALKMAAR – Great action on court, hard-fought matches and the joy of the winning pairs: the FIP Bronze Racourt was a great success.In the men’s draw, the title went to Dani Luna and Pedro Meléndez. After defeating home players Julian Prins and Youp De Kroon in the semifinals, following a closely contested match decided only in the third-set tie-break (6-7, 6-4, 7-6), they went on to win the final against Italians Matteo Sargolini and Matteo Rosingana (4-6, 6-4, 6-4).

In the women’s draw, Belgian players Justine Pysson and Elyne Boeykens claimed a fantastic victory, defeating Elsa Terranova and Angelina Neizvestnaya in the final, 7-5, 6-2. The two champions had secured their place in the final by beating home players Marcella Koek and Stephanie Weterings in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3. The winners dropped just one set throughout the tournament, in their quarter-final match against Clara Mansart and Marie Amelie Dardaine.
