ALKMAAR – Dutch padel has a major opportunity this week to win both the men’s and women’s titles. In the women’s draw, home players Bo Luttikhuis and Janine Hemmes are aiming for a strong result in the FIP Bronze Racourt. The pair, the tournament’s top seeds, will be looking to claim the title in front of their home crowd. They are in the top half of the draw alongside Elsa Terranova-Angelina Neizvestnaya (3). In the opposite half are two more Dutch players, Marcella Koek and Stephanie Weterings (2), as well as Belgium’s Justine Pysson-Elyne Boeykens.

The home pair hoping to deliver a memorable result for the Netherlands in the men’s draw is Julian Prins-Youp De Kroon, who have won two CUPRA FIP Tour events this year: FIP Bronze Prishtina and Bydgoszcz. The pair are the third seeds and are in the bottom half of the main draw alongside Alvaro Melendez and Dani Luna. In the top half are the top seeds, Facu Dominguez-Denis Perino, and Alvaro Pozo-Guillermo Fernandez (4). The main draw of the tournament will begin on Friday 16 October and conclude on Sunday 18 October.
