Camboriú, a win with a special dedication from Gabriela Roux

Not just the men’s FIP Silver. The city of Camboriú, Brazil, also hosted a women’s FIP Bronze tournament over the weekend, with nineteen pairs competing. The title at Delta Padel went to the Chilean duo Gabriela Roux and Gianina “Giani” Minieri, who, after eliminating top seeds Arancibia/Ahumadain in the semifinals, defeated the Brazilian pair Alessandra Abbud De Barros and Cristina Cirme in the final (6-3, 7-6).

At the end of the tournament, Roux offered a special dedication to her father for Father’s Day:
“Despite the distance, today I’ve shared this day with you. The chance to be back on court enjoying the game and competing, happy, is largely thanks to you and your support in these past few months. Without your belief, it would have been very difficult to carry on”.
She then thanked her partner: “Dear friend, let’s keep going”.
