FIP Euro Padel Cup, Phase 1 and Phase 2 in Madrid from Tuesday, draw on Monday Carraro: “Wearing the national team jersey is a unique experience, make your country proud of you”

Padel in its purest form. Starting on Monday with the draw for the groups and ending on Sunday with the final ties of Phase 2, it will be an unmissable week that every padel player is looking forward to. There will be 59 national teams on the court at Padel G24 in Madrid, the venue for Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the FIP Euro Padel Cup, the continent’s top competition organised by the International Padel Federation in collaboration with Padel Europe and, for this week in Madrid, also with the FEP, the Spanish Padel Federation. There will be 32 men’s and 27 women’s national teams competing over six days for the eight places (four for men and four for women) in the Final Eight, which will award the title, with Spain, Italy, Portugal and France already qualified.

FIP President Luigi Carraro wished all the delegations arriving in Spain the best of luck: “The FIP family extends a warm embrace and handshake to all the representatives of the participating countries, the presidents and delegations of the national federations, the athletes, coaches, staff members, referees and all those who will make Phases 1 and 2 of a great FIP Euro Padel Cup unforgettable. To those who will take to the court, I want to remind you how unique such an opportunity is: to wear your country’s jersey and fight for a great goal in a context of socialisation, cultural exchange and experiences that has few equals in the life of an athlete. Have fun, be fair, and make your Federation, your country and the world of Padel proud of your sporting achievements!”.

A record-breaking edition deserved extraordinary media coverage: eight courts at Padel G24 in Madrid will be broadcasted in live streaming on the FIP YouTube channel. The draw for the groups is scheduled for Monday at 6 p.m.: four groups of four and one of five for the men’s Phase 1, one group of three and three of four for the women’s Phase 1. From Tuesday onwards, the action will move to the courts: the top teams in each group will be able to continue dreaming, but for everyone it will be an experience to remember.
