Passion for padel in Asia, steady growth (+20%) among courts and players

A community of 2,2 million amateur players —and the FIP Research & Data Analysis Department notes that the number is steadily growing— moves across Asia driven by a love for padel. This community spans 30 countries, playing on a total of 4,600 courts across 1,700 clubs. Passion for padel in Asia shows no signs of slowing down, growing 20% in 2025 compared to last year, also thanks to the busy competitive calendar, which acts as a major driver for the sport.

The Asian continent has hosted several team World Championships: this year alone, there were 3 of the biggest Premier Padel tournaments, 24 events on the CUPRA FIP Tour, and 8 FIP Promises for youth padel. And, most notably, the first-ever edition of the FIP World Cup Pairs, currently taking place at Arena Kuwait. According to the Data Analysis Department report, the host country itself has 580 padel courts across 202 clubs, offering plenty of opportunities for players to enjoy the sport.
