Veracruz, Day4. An unmissable Saturday: women’s final and men’s semifinals

First the two men’s semifinals, then the women’s final. It will be a Saturday not to be missed in Veracruz (Mexico), where the FIP Platinum Skechers will crown its queens. Battling for the title will be the number 3 and number 7 seeds: on one side, Aranzazu Osoro and Victoria Iglesias; on the other, Martina Fassio and Patty Llaguno. Osoro/Iglesias dominated their semifinal against Lucia Sainz and Raquel Eugenio, winning with a double 6-1, and Llaguno/Fassio also advanced in straight sets, defeating Jimena Velasco and Marta Barrera 6-4 6-3.

 

The women’s final will be preceded by the semifinals of the men’s draw. First on court will be Javi Garrido and Lucas Campagnolo against Juan Tello and Edu Alonso. Garrido and Campagnolo pulled off a great feat, eliminating top seeds Javi Leal and Lucas Bergamini 6-7 6-3 6-4, while Tello and Alonso prevailed 6-3 6-4 over Tino Libaak and Jairo Bautista (8). Then it will be the turn of Jon Sanz and Aimar Goñi against Momo Gonzalez and Fran Guerrero, who had previously beaten Álvaro Cepero and Agustin Torre (5-7 6-3 6-4) and Alex Ruizand Juanlu Esbri (6-3 6-7 6-3) respectively.
