Qatar II, in Doha first win for Cremona–Richters

Three sets for their first win together. At the FIP Bronze Qatar II in Doha, Simone Cremona and Sten Richters were the ones celebrating, in just their second tournament as a team after reaching the semifinals at the FIP Bronze in Ireland. In the deciding match at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex — the prestigious venue that hosts the Premier Padel Major and the 2024 FIP World Padel Championships — the Italian and the Dutchman took down Sweden’s Olsson/Windahl in three sets (6-4 2-6 6-3). “Tonight I’m taking home something worth more than a trophy: the proof that hard work always pays off,” Cremona said after the win. “First victory in such an important event, a FIP Bronze in Qatar. A tough final, fought all the way to the third set, but Sten and I got it done with our hearts racing, tired legs, and without ever stopping the fight!”

It was a Dutch celebration in the women’s draw too, with Marcella Koek and Rosalie Van Der Hoek taking the title. After dropping only six games in their first three matches, the top seeds came back to beat Lucia Perez and Maria Portillo (2), closing out the final 3-6 6-3 6-0.
