Jimenez-Sanchez Blasco and Osoro-Jensen lift the trophy. Now Claudia flies to Barcelona

The 2025 edition of the CUPRA FIP Tour concluded with the triumph of José Jimenez, Maxi Sanchez Blasco, Aranzazu Osoro, and Claudia Jensen. Here are the winners of the CUPRA FIP Finals in Shanghai, after four days that helped cement padel’s presence in China. In the men’s final, Jimenez and Sanchez Blasco – who started the tournament unseeded – completed their masterpiece by defeating Javi Garrido and Alvaro Cepero 6-4 3-6 6-3. “I have to thank everyone who supported us this week; there was no better way to close the season”, said Sanchez Blasco, claiming his sixth CUPRA FIP Tour title of 2025, followed by Jimenez, who had won two CUPRA tournaments earlier this year and dedicated this title: “Last year my grandfather passed away right during the Finals; this victory is for him”.

In the women’s final, Osoro and Jensen lived up to their favorite status, defeating Martina Fassio and Patty Llaguno 6-4 6-2, and inscribing their names in the roll of honor after last year’s winners, Marina Guinart and Victoria Iglesias in Bourg-en-Bresse. “After a difficult start, we managed to win this match, and I’m very happy about that”, said the ‘Vikinga’, already a champion at the FIP Platinum in Veracruz. “I’m really glad that padel is reaching places like China”, “I was thrilled to play here for the first time. Many thanks to everyone and to the ‘Vikinga’ for being with me this week”, added Claudia, whose season isn’t over: after winning the title in China, Claudia will fly to Barcelona, where she is expected for the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Finals with Ale Alonso.
