FIP Junior Continental Cups 2026: first time across four continents in the same year
  • For the first time in the history of the International Padel Federation, the four continental junior team competitions will take place within the same calendar year.
  • FIP President Luigi Carraro: “A fundamental step in the global growth of Padel and in the development pathway for young players.”

A new chapter begins for youth Padel worldwide. In 2026, for the first time ever, the International Padel Federation (FIP) will stage all FIP Junior Continental Cups within the same season. The four continental team events dedicated to the next generation of players will be held across one calendar year — a significant milestone for young athletes and for the global development of the sport.

DUAL PURPOSE The FIP Junior Continental Cups 2026 will bring together emerging talents from four continents, offering national federations a high-level competitive platform and valuable international experience for their youth programmes.

The events will also serve as qualifying tournaments for the FIP Junior World Cup 2027, the next edition of the youth world championships. Each competition, therefore, has a dual purpose:

  • awarding the respective continental team titles, and
  • offering national teams the opportunity to secure qualification for next year’s Junior World Cup.

Following last year’s bidding process, the FIP Board of Directors analysed all applications received and designated the following hosts:

  • FIP Junior Africa Padel Cup 2026 – Egypt, 15–20 June
  • FIP Junior Euro Padel Cup 2026 – Portugal, 29 June–4 July
  • FIP Junior Asia Padel Cup 2026 – Indonesia, 9–14 November
  • FIP Junior America Padel Cup 2026 – Mexico, 10–14 November

Host cities will be announced in the coming weeks.

DECISIVE STEP FOR THE FUTURE OF PADEL The competitions will be held in the Under 14, Under 16, and Under 18 categories. Each national team may register:

  • a minimum of one pair and a maximum of two pairs per category,
  • for a total delegation of up to 12 athletes.

With the FIP Junior Continental Cups 2026, the International Padel Federation takes a decisive step forward — both organisationally and competitively — in building a stronger global pathway for young athletes. The initiative aims to:

  • develop talent worldwide,
  • harmonise the structure of continental youth competitions, and
  • support the ongoing work of national federations, while offering young players a meaningful experience on a sporting, educational and personal level.

FIP PRESIDENT LUIGI CARRARO “The FIP Junior Continental Cups represent a historic and fundamental step in the global growth of Padel and in the development pathway for young players.

Bringing all continental team competitions together within the same year creates a more structured, merit-based international system. Investing in new generations is our strategic priority, because this is where the future of our sport begins.

I would like to thank the Egyptian Padel Federation, the Portuguese Padel Federation, the Indonesian Padel Association, and the Mexican Padel Federation for their collaboration and commitment in hosting these competitions.

I also take this opportunity to commend all our 100 member federations for the tireless work they carry out every day to support the growth of young players. Our objective is to offer these athletes a competitive and personal experience that supports their progression towards the highest international level.”
