Gutiérrez and Ruiz look to defeat Libaak-Chozas in Mendoza

Tino Libaak and Álex Chozas, and Sanyo Gutiérrez and Víctor Ruiz, could meet in a final for the second time this season. Following the victory of the former at the FIP Silver in Nola, the two pairs aim to face each other again in the title-deciding match at the FIP Silver in Mendoza, Argentina. Libaak and Chozas, ranked No. 45 and 24 in the FIP Ranking, are targeting their third success of the month after those achieved in Italy and at the FIP Silver in Aguascalientes, Mexico. Chozas has also previously won in Mendoza, having claimed the title there last November alongside Tolito Aguirre. The legendary Gutiérrez and the Spaniard Ruiz, meanwhile, are aiming to secure their first title of the year. This season, the Argentine reached the semi-finals at the Premier Padel P2 in Cancún where, partnering Gonza Alfonso, he was defeated by Juan Lebron and Leo Augsburger.

Another player who has made history in the sport, Miguel Lamperti, will also compete in Mendoza, partnering Martín Abud. The latter is aiming to claim his first title of the year on the CUPRA FIP Tour. Also competing in Argentina are Juani Rubini, a former partner of Lamperti, and Maxi Sánchez, another iconic figure in the sport. Attention will also be on Luciano Puppo and Maximo Maldonado, winners of last month’s FIP Silver in Joinville, as well as the pair Facundo Lopez–Franco Dal Bianco.
