From Dubai to Denmark: all the weekend events

This weekend, the NextGen of padel will take to the court across four events on the FIP Promises Tour. The young talents of the sport will compete in Perugia (Italy), Kolding (Denmark), Ghent (Belgium) and Dubai (United Arab Emirates).

Eight draws will be played at the Italian event: Under 12, 14, 16 and 18 in both the boys’ and girls’ categories. Alessandro Zaccagnino and Matteo Quatrana are the favourites in the oldest boys’ age group, with the pairs Leon Oleatti-Nathan Filieri and Izan Ranera Pedrero-Leon David Ruiz Shannon among the contenders for the title. Carlotta Burello and Angelica Margiotta are among the possible winners in the girls’ Under 18 category. All matches at the FIP Promises Sanremo Padel Experience – Perugia II will be played at Padel Arena Fastweb Perugia.

Moving on to the event in Kolding, Junior Brydolf and Iker Zamora Garcia are the leading contenders in the boys’ Under 18 category. Among the pairs aiming for the Under 16 title are Malte Lindh-Filip Dahlqvist and Herbert Fink Udby-Lasse Rich Leiholm. Matts Cobussen-Malthe Frandsen, meanwhile, lead the Under 14 draw. In Denmark this weekend, alongside the FIP Promises Tour event, a CUPRA FIP Tour event is also scheduled: the FIP Bronze Kolding.

In Ghent, the boys’ Under 18 title will be contested between the number 1 seeds, Achiel Pille-Stan Gailliaert, and the pair Oliver Grantham-Mark Giulio Menotti. Dutch sisters Anshika and Rishita Rajagopal are entered in two categories: Under 18 and Under 16. In the latter, they lead the main draw, but to secure the title they will need to overcome competitive rivals such as Anna Wateurs-Louise Vanaudenaerde and Alexa Sofia Kreis-Eleana Bakker.

Matches at the FIP Promises Damac Dubai will be played at Padel Town. Ali Taghizadeh Najafi and Fahad Alhooli are the number 1 seeds in the boys’ Under 18 category, with Aly Elnahas and Hamdan Abdalla their main rivals for the title. The pair Yaqoub Zainal-Sayed Hashem Almazeedi are the favourites to lift the boys’ Under 16 trophy.
