Italy, Benjamin Filieri claims double title

The FIP Promises in Perugia, which featured eight draws (Under 12, 14, 16 and 18 boys’ and girls’ categories), has concluded. Benjamin Filieri (in the center of the photo) secured a double victory in the Under 16 and Under 14 boys’ categories: in the first, he triumphed alongside his brother, Nathan Filieri, while in the second he lifted the winners’ trophy with Tyrone Pottier. In the Under 18 category, Izan Ranera Pedrero-Leon David Ruiz Shannon became champions thanks to their final victory over home pair Paolo Lilli and Pietro Roger Milani (6-4 6-2).

 

In the girls’ competitions, Italians Carlotta Burello and Angelica Margiotta claimed the Under 18 title. In the final, the two champions defeated fellow Italians Maddalena Negri-Eva Rosini in straight sets (7-5 6-3). In the next age category down, Giorgia Di Paola-Penelope Mami took the title, while Vittoria Conti and Marta La Carpia were victorious in the Under 14 category.
