Luna-Moragues shine on debut in Castellón

A clean run for Daniel Luna and Nacho Moragues at the FIP Bronze in Castellón. The Spanish pair, competing together in their first tournament as a duo, claimed the title without dropping a single set throughout the event. That said, two tiebreaks were needed in the final against Italian Aris Patiniotis and Frenchman Thomas Leygue. “Hard work always pays off” Moragues stated after winning the title — his first of 2026 and his sixth overall on the CUPRA FIP Tour. “Happy to have won close to home” added Moragues, who is originally from Valencia. “Great feelings in our first tournament together, Dani — we’re aiming high!“.

On the women’s side, top seeds Patri Martinez and Claudia Escacena dominated the draw. The world No. 57 and No. 76 in the FIP Ranking defeated Claudia Ordoñez and Daniela Portilla 6-4, 6-1. It is Escacena’s fourth victory since the start of the year, while Martinez now has three titles to her name.
