The Historic Debut of the FIP Promises Tour in Moldova

This weekend, international padel will write a new chapter in its global expansion with the first ever debut of the FIP Promises Tour in Moldova, where the FIP Promises of Chisinau will take place. According to data from the International Padel Federation’s World Padel Report 2025, Moldova already counts 2,000 amateur players.
At this event, dedicated to young padel talents, five draws will be contested: three men’s (Under 14, 16, and 18), and two women’s (Under 16 and 18). Matches will be played at the the “IPadel Moldova Open” venue. Among the pairs who can aim for the title: Mihnea Chiurca Anton–Pablo Chacon Diaz and the pair made up of Straista Matei and Robert Todica. In the same women’s age bracket, Sirca Sofia Gabriela–Ilinca Rosca and Dogot Delia–Nicoleta Bucur are the candidate pairs for the final triumph.
On Friday, June 5, the tournament will be officially inaugurated with a ceremony attended by Maxim Potârniche, Member of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova and former player of the national football team, the Mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban, and Andrei Pavaloi, Head of the General Directorate for Education, Youth and Sport. This event highlights the strong support of local institutions for the growth of youth padel in the country and confirms Chisinau and Moldova’s commitment to the development of this sport.
