June 8, 2026
For Lorena Vano and Xenia Clasca, the FIP Silver in Bandol, France, could not have ended in a better way. The two players were crowned champions thanks to their victory in the final against Maria Portillo and Carmen Castillón (2-6, 7-6, 6-1). It was a closely contested match: after losing the opening set, the tournament winners claimed the second-set tie-break before taking complete control in the third. In the semi-finals, they had defeated Louise Bahurel and Valeria Atencia (6-1, 7-5). For Clasca and Vano, this was their first CUPRA FIP Tour title of the year. The last time they lifted a trophy was in November, when they won the FIP Bronze in Lucena. “Champions of the FIP Silver in Bandol” said Vano after the triumph.
In the men’s draw, Nacho Archieri and Jaume Romera claimed the title. After defeating Juan Zamora and Alejandro García in the semi-finals (7-6, 6-2), they overcame Dani Luna and Nacho Morangues in the title match in three sets (6-7, 6-4, 6-1). “Champions in Bandol,” said Romera. “I’m pleased with the tournament we played. Now we need to keep working”.
