Ferrán and Martin crowned champions in Poland

The first historic edition of a CUPRA FIP Tour tournament in Poland has concluded. Susana Martin Marin and Paula Ferran lifted the trophy of the FIP Bronze Decathlon Warsaw following a comprehensive victory in the final against Maria Arteaga Vilchez and Nerea Gomez Blazquez (6-2 6-2). The latter had defeated the top seeds, Ivet Val Lopez and Maaika Betz, in the semi-finals 7-5 2-6 6-0. The champions, meanwhile, had secured their place in the final by defeating Leire Uriarte Medina and Francesca Lingotti (6-1 6-2). In the men’s draw, there was a triumph for the Swedish pair Daniel Appelgren and Douglas Rutgersson, who in the final defeated the Swedish duo composed of Iker Zamora and Abraham Munoz (3-6 6-4 6-1).

This weekend therefore has been written another page in the history of the CUPRA FIP Tour. The Warsaw tournament represented another stage in the global expansion of the circuit. Poland is among the 17 new countries that in 2026 will host, or have already hosted, a tournament in the circuit.
