Lisbon, Francisca Cravo keeps winning: another title on home soil
July 28, 2026
When a player competes in their home country, there are usually two possible reactions: feeling the pressure of having to win in front of a home crowd, or using the support of the fans to raise their level. Portugal’s Francisca Cravo has chosen the latter. After winning the FIP Bronze events held in Portugal this season in Viseu, Oeiras and Setúbal, the young Portuguese NextGen talent claimed a remarkable double at the FIP Promises Padel Expo Powerade in Lisbon, winning both the Under 14 and Under 16 titles. Cravo triumphed alongside two different partners: in the Under 16 category she played with Andrea Batlle Achando, while in the Under 14 event she partnered Mariana Pedroso. Cravo continues to establish herself as one of the brightest prospects in the sport, currently occupying second place in the European FIP Under 14 Ranking.
There was also plenty of high-level competition in the boys’ categories. In the Under 18 event, Manuel Ramirez Perez and Alex Escamilla Pueyo were crowned champions after a commanding 6-3 6-0 victory over Pablo Martinez and Lourenço Romão in the final. In the Under 16 category, Eduardo Carmo and Afonso De Almeida Lacerda claimed the title.
