Day5. Ari Sanchez reaches the 100th final of an extraordinary career. For Stupaczuk and Sanz is the first as a pair in Premier Padel
October 3, 2026
Numbers mark the careers of the greatest champions. Tomorrow’s final in Rotterdam will be the 100th of Ari Sanchez’s extraordinary career. After triumphing in Paris by winning the Major at Roland Garros, Ari Sanchez and Andrea Ustero have repeated the feat at the Dutch P2, producing an outstanding performance to defeat Delfi Brea and Gemma Triay 6-2 6-3. The number 1 seeds had won their previous two meetings, but the two Spaniards are in excellent form. Standing between Sanchez and Ustero and the title on Sunday will be Paula Josemaria and Bea Gonzalez, who have bounced back after losing their first two encounters with Claudia Fernandez and Martina Calvo, beating them in both Madrid and Rotterdam. Josemaria and Gonzalez, who could become the most successful players of 2026 with another victory (the current tally is six titles apiece with Brea and Triay), won 6-3 6-4 in one hour and 47 minutes. The two pairs have met once before in a final, in Valladolid, where Josemaria and Gonzalez won in straight sets.
MEN The men’s semi-finals were set to determine which pair, or pairs, would have the chance to compete for their first title of the season tomorrow. The final is scheduled for not before 17:30 CEST, while the women’s final will begin at 16:00. As in the Rome Major semi-final, Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia ended the title hopes of Momo Gonzalez and Lucas Campagnolo. This time, however, unlike at the Foro Italico, the world number ones needed three sets to qualify, winning 6-1 3-6 6-1. Franco Stupaczuk and Jon Sanz will challenge Coello and Tapia for the title, reaching their first Premier Padel final since beginning their partnership. After winning the FIP Gold in Belgrade and losing the final of the FIP Platinum in Lyon, they have now reached the Rotterdam P2 final, securing their place with a 6-0 6-4 victory over their former partners Coki Nieto and Mike Yanguas.
