An argentine pair seeking success in Oslo: Contreras and Calleja target the top in Denmark

OSLO – After four victories in South America across three FIP Bronze tournaments, one at FIP Silver Camboriú and another in Europe at FIP Bronze Lanzarote, young Argentine talent Santino Contreras, born in 2010, is targeting his sixth title of the season at the FIP Bronze Interpadel Open Oslo. Contreras will compete at this tournament alongside his compatriot Felipe Calleja. Their main rivals for the title are Willy Slaryd-Thijs Roper and Samu Rivas-Alfonso Sanchez. French players Jeremy Robert and Yoan Boronad will also be among those to watch.

The women’s draw is headed by American Brittany Dubins, who will compete alongside Spain’s Ana Varo. The American player has already secured five victories on the circuit this season, while Varo is still seeking her first title. The second seeds, Caterina Baldi and Clarissa Aima, are also targeting the title. Both have recently been called up for the FIP World Cup 2026 in Qatar, scheduled to take place from 2 to 7 November. Also in the spotlight are two other Italian players set to travel to Doha with the national team, Emily Stellato-Giulia Sussarello and Lucia Perez-Clarinha Santos. The main draw of the tournament will begin on Saturday 17 October and conclude on Sunday 18 October.
