FIP Promises Continental Europe, Finals to be held in Oeiras from 18 to 20 December

Portugal will host the first edition of the European continental finals of the International Padel Federation circuit dedicated to the NextGen. The top eight pairs in each category, from Under 18 to Under 12, will compete.

Oeiras (Portugal) will host the first-ever edition of the FIP Promises Continental Finals Europe from 18 to 20 December. The event will bring together the best NextGen talents who have competed throughout the season in the 96 European tournaments of the International Padel Federation’s youth circuit, which this year introduced a new format divided into geographical regions (America, Asia, Africa and Europe).

There will be four categories: Under 18, Under 16, Under 14 and Under 12, for both boys and girls, with eight pairs competing in each category. Positions in the entry list will be determined by the combined rankings of the two players in each pair, as updated on 7 December. To be eligible for the FIP Promises Continental Finals, each player must have competed in at least three FIP Promises Continental Tour tournaments and may enter only one category. The format will be round robin, with two groups of four pairs in each category. The top two pairs from each group will qualify for the knockout stage.

The exciting matches at the Oeiras Padel Academy, which has 10 indoor courts, will begin with the first round-robin matches on the afternoon of Friday 18 December. The group stage will be completed on Saturday 19, with the semi-finals and finals scheduled for Sunday 20 December, in the morning and afternoon respectively. The winners of each category will be crowned FIP Promises Continental European Champions: a coveted title for the many young players who, after a long season, will have the opportunity to make history on the FIP Promises circuit.
