The FIP Junior Asia Padel Cup’s presence in Jakarta reflects the growing importance of padel in Indonesia, where the sport is experiencing a period of significant expansion. According to the World Padel Report 2026, produced by the International Padel Federation Research Centre, Indonesia ranks fifth worldwide in terms of the number of clubs, with 1,100 clubs, and seventh for the number of courts, with 3,300. This growing interest is also reflected in data from the FIP’s official website: in 2026, Indonesia became the third-largest country worldwide in terms of visits to the Federation’s website, behind only Spain and Argentina.
