Koek-Luttikhuis crowned queens of Kuala Lumpur

The women’s draw of the FIP Bronze in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, concluded with victory for the Dutch pair Marcella Koek and Bo Luttikhuis. The champions secured their place in the final by defeating Catarina Santos and Camilla Ramme (6-3 6-3), and in the final they overcame the top seeds, Julia Polo and Patri Martínez, in two sets (7-6 6-1). The winners of the women’s draw did not concede a single set to their opponents throughout the tournament. For them, the title won in Malaysia marks their first of the 2026 CUPRA FIP Tour. Luttikhuis commented on the success with a photo accompanied by the message: “Champions in Kuala Lumpur”.

In the men’s main draw, Pablo Landáburu and Luis Oliver Artigas were crowned champions in Malaysia: their opponents in the final, Nacho Vilariño and Mario Del Castillo, retired during the third set with the score at 5-7 7-6 2-1 in favour of their rivals. In the semi-finals, the champions had overcome Maxi Gonzalez Blanco and León David Ruiz Shannon (6-3 3-6 6-1). For both players, as with the women’s champions, the title won in Malaysia represents their first success of the year on the CUPRA FIP Tour. “We are champions – said Artigas after the triumph -. I am very happy to have fought in every match, regardless of the scoreline. I really enjoyed it. I would like to thank the whole team”.
