The Betclic Premier Padel Bordeaux P2 main draw officially got underway with the opening two matches of the men’s draw. Juanlu Esbri and Alex Ruiz claimed a 6-4 6-2 victory over Javi Garcia and José Jimenez, while Edu Alonso and Aimar Goñi defeated Maxi Sanchez Blasco and Sanyo Gutierrez 6-3 3-6 6-3.

 

With the top seeds set to make their tournament debuts on Thursday, Wednesday’s Centre Court programme at the Patinoire de Mériadeck will largely belong to the home favourites. After fifth seeds and 2024 champions Coki Nieto and Jon Sanz, play from 17:00 will feature, in order, Lea Godallier, who alongside Argentina’s Daiara Valenzuela will face Bea Caldera and Carmen Goenaga; Yoan Boronad and Timeo Fontany against Tino Libaak and Alex Chozas; and Dylan Guichard, partnering Belgium’s Clement Geens, against Iñigo Jofre and Jairo Bautista.
