Gonzalez-Meléndez pair dominates in Morocco

One year and two months after their victory in the FIP Silver event held in Cairo in April 2025, the pair formed by Jose Luis Gonzalez and Álvaro Melendez have lifted another title together by winning the FIP Bronze Morocco Padel International Tour Frmt 3 in Kénitra. The two champions, after defeating Jose Molano and Ramiro Pereyra in the semi-finals (6-3 5-7 6-0), overcame the No.1 seeds Tolito Aguirre-Mohamed Alami in two sets (6-0 6-4) in the final for the winners’ trophy. With this victory, Gonzalez has joined Flavio Abbate and compatriot Gonzalo Rubio at the top of the all-time CUPRA FIP Tour title winners’ ranking (15). For Melendez, this was his first title won in 2026 on the circuit.
