Sans and Nunes: the goal is victory in Dubai

After losing the final of the FIP Bronze tournament in Baku, Azerbaijan, in April, Gustavo Nunes and Tonet Sans arrive at the FIP Silver in Dubai with the goal of claiming their first title of the year on the CUPRA FIP Tour. Winning this tournament would be a valuable addition to their list of achievements. However, to triumph, they will have to overcome several strong pairs, most notably Pablo Dametto and Felipe Calleja, who won the FIP Bronze Chile III last week in Viña del Mar. Also expected to be among the main contenders at the “Central Padel – Dubai” courts are the pairs Francisco Jurado–Sergio Icardo, Alejandro Calvo–Fran Ramirez, and Victor Tur Checa–Agustin Reca.

Leading the women’s draw at this CUPRA FIP Tour stop are Giorgia Rosi and Aitana Garcia, who will be aiming to come out victorious. The top seeds are placed in the upper half of the draw alongside Italy’s Elsa Terranova and Angelina Neizvestnaya. In the opposite half are Jimena Diaz–Alba Vazquez and Lucia Perez–Catherine Rose. The main draw will begin on Thursday, May 4, and conclude on Sunday, May 7, when the finals will be played.
