Cortiles and Dubins become queens in La Nucía
July 6, 2026
A memorable tournament for Brittany Dubins and Anna Cortiles, who were crowned champions at the FIP Bronze La Nucía in Spain after defeating Alba Vazquez Gracia and Cristina Rodriguez Enrich in the final in straight sets (6-4 6-1). In the semi-finals, the two winners had overcome the top seeds, Aida Martinez and Nati Lopez, by 2-6 7-6 6-3. For Dubins, this was her fourth CUPRA FIP Tour title of the year, following three victories alongside Camilla Ramme at the FIP Silver Palermo and the FIP Bronze events in Hamburg and Miami. Cortiles, meanwhile, claimed her first title of the season on the circuit.
In the men’s draw, Facundo Lopez and Octavio Alvarez claimed the title. The Argentine pair first defeated Jose Solano and Ramiro Pereyra in the semi-finals after a closely contested match that was decided only in the third-set tie-break (6-3 6-7 7-6), before comfortably overcoming Exequiel Mourino and Alejandro Calvo Perez in the final (6-1 6-4). Lopez’s impressive season therefore continues, as after his victories at the FIP Gold Shanghai and the FIP Bronze Santiago de Chile, he added another trophy to his collection.
