From Brussels to Bordeaux: Tamara Icardo and Claudia Jensen had not reached a Premier Padel semi-final since the P2 in Belgium last April. The No. 5 seeds are back among the tournament’s final four pairs thanks to a 6-4 2-6 6-2 victory over Claudia Fernandez and Sofia Araujo. The win earns them a semi-final against Paula Josemaria and Bea Gonzalez, who ended the unforgettable week of Noa Canovas and Laia Rodriguez 6-3 6-2 in one hour and 20 minutes. The top half semi-final also went according to the seedings: on one side, Delfi Brea and Gemma Triay, who won the opening match of the afternoon session 6-0 7-6 against Marina Guinart and Veronica Virseda; on the other, Ari Sanchez and Andrea Ustero, who advanced with a 6-2 7-6 victory over Ale Salazar and Ale Alonso.

Their 6-3 7-5 victory over Juan Lebron and Leo Augsburger in the final match of the day earned the Spaniard and the Argentine a semi-final against Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia, who needed three sets to overcome (7-5 3-6 6-1) Momo Gonzalez and Lucas Campagnolo. The first men’s semi-final at the Patinoire de Mériadeck, not before 17:00, will feature Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan against Franco Stupaczuk and Mike Yanguas. The second seeds advanced with a 6-1 6-3 win over Coki Nieto and Jon Sanz, while the fourth seeds booked their place by defeating Juan Tello and Maxi Arce 7-5 6-4.
