NextGen ready to showcase their talent across events in Africa and Europe

Three FIP Promises Tour events will take place over a single weekend. The NextGen of padel returns to action at two European stops, Valladolid (Spain) and Koksijde (Belgium), as well as one African event in Côte d’Ivoire, in the city of Abidjan. A total of 12 draws will be played: 8 men’s and 4 women’s.

 

In the boys’ Under-18 category in Valladolid, the title will be contested between Pablo Chacon Diaz and Leon David Ruiz Shannon. Also among the leading pairs are Nicolas Callejo Herrero and Andres Ortuno De Pablo, as well as Sergio Merchan Gonzalez and Eduardo Merino Prado. In the next age category, the top seeds are Jaime Rodriguez and Ian Garcia Calvo. The girls’ Under-16 draw is led by Samantha Fernandez Call and Marina Herrera Serrano.

 

At the Belgian stop, both the boys’ and girls’ categories will showcase the sport’s young talent. Among the pairs competing in the Under-18 draw are Loris Morvan and Eliott Verraghen, Maxim Cardinal and Gonzalo Florez Ruz, and Stan Gailliaert and Achiel Pille. In the Under-16 category, Vince Liekens and Maxim Struyf are among the participants, while in the girls’ draw in the same age group are Emma Diaz Andreu and Anna Carolina Leder, as well as Elena Rossius and Tiana Radanovic.

 

Côte d’Ivoire continues to confirm its role as a key country in the global expansion of padel. After hosting a FIP Gold event on the CUPRA FIP Tour last week, and a FIP Silver in April, Abidjan will also stage a FIP Promises Tour event this weekend, where NextGen pairs will compete for the Under-18 boys’ title.
