Ivory Coast, NextGen Show in Abidjan

The NextGen of padel took centre stage in Ivory Coast. The FIP Promises event in Abidjan concluded with victory in the Under-18 category for the pair of Marcos Sanchez Pestana and Victor Escorihuela Dealbert. The two Spaniards, after a commanding semi-final win over Enzo Daher and Daher Riwan Riwan (6-1 6-0), also prevailed in the final against Alejandro Rebollo Palacios and Alejandro Araiz Vazquez following a closely contested match in which both sets were decided by tie-breaks (7-6 7-6).

Ivory Coast continues to confirm its key role in the global expansion of the sport. After hosting a FIP Gold event on the CUPRA FIP Tour last week, and a FIP Silver event in April, this stop on the FIP Promises Tour in Abidjan showcased the strength of padel’s emerging young talent to the public.
