Historic record for FIP Promises in Asia: 138 pairs set to compete in Bali

NextGen Padel continues to grow at record pace, reaching another historic milestone in Asia. FIP Promises Bali, taking place at the Island Sports Holywings Padel Club until Sunday 16 August, has officially become the FIP youth tournament with the highest number of entries ever recorded in the Asian continent. A total of 138 pairs will compete for the titles on offer on the Indonesian island, surpassing the previous record set just one month ago at FIP Promises Jakarta, which closed with 113 pairs.

 

The exceptional number of entries comes alongside a sold-out field in every age group: all eight categories on the circuit will be played in Bali (Under 12, Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18, in both the men’s and women’s events), surpassing the seven draws held in Jakarta. The Under 16 boys’ category is particularly well represented, with 33 pairs competing, while the Under 14 boys’ category features 29. Alongside the many Indonesian athletes, talents from Italy, the Netherlands, Great Britain, France, Germany, Kazakhstan, Egypt and Malaysia will also take to the courts at Island Sports.

 

The strong participation confirms the remarkable growth and spread of youth Padel across Asia, as part of FIP’s strategic commitment to developing the champions of tomorrow across different continents.
