Cremona-Romera Barceló in the spotlight in Belgium. Medina Murphy-Tur Checa ready to challenge for the title in Mol

So far, this has been an excellent season for Jaume Romera Barceló. In 2026, the Spaniard has already won four titles on the CUPRA FIP Tour – one FIP Silver and three FIP Bronze – each with a different partner: in Bandol with Ignacio Archieri, and in Miami, Cordenons and Brescia with Rodrigo Coello, Sergio Nieto and Adri Naranjo respectively. Two of his four victories came in Italy, the home country of the player with whom he will now seek his fifth title of the season in the FIP Bronze R3 Bullpadel Cup Mol: Simone Cremona, winner of the FIP Bronze in Melbourne at the beginning of the year. The pair are in the bottom half of the draw, while their main rivals at this event, Christian Medina Murphy and Victor Tur Checa, are on the opposite side. Medina Murphy won the FIP Bronze in Alicante at the end of July, while Tur Checa is looking to claim his first title of the season.

Also among the leading names in Belgium are Marcos Cordoba and Alejandro Calvo. Cordoba won the FIP Bronze in Mumbai, India, in January, while Calvo is seeking his first title of 2026 – and the first of his career – after finishing runner-up at the FIP Bronze events in Yogyakarta and La Nucia. The entry list also includes Dutchman Thijs Roper, who has been runner-up at five tournaments this year and will partner Willy Slaryd. The main draw of the tournament will begin tomorrow, 14 August, and conclude on Sunday 16 August, when the semi-finals and final will be played.
