Middelkerke, Francisca Cravo wins again. The weekend results in Belgium

No doubt about it: 2026 is Francisca Cravo’s year. After winning in Viseu, Oeiras, Setúbal, Badajoz and Lisbon, the Portuguese star claimed the Under 14 title at the FIP Promises Middelkerke in Belgium. Cravo triumphed alongside Eleana Bakker. After defeating Lieve De Jong-Evi Panhuizen (6-3 6-0) in the semi-finals, the pair beat Rosie Allen-Lucy Bertram (6-4 6-2) in the title match. Cravo currently sits second in the FIP Promises Ranking for Under 14 girls and 17th in the Under 16 age group.

 

In the Under 18 boys’ draw, the pair of Pedro Ortigosa Martin-Hugo Iglesias Garcia Bustamante triumphed. The champions lifted the trophy after a closely contested final that was decided on the final point of the super tie-break against Malte Lindh-Filip Dahlqvist (6-3 5-7 11-9). The latter pair then claimed the Under 16 title, defeating the No. 1 seeds Oliver Grantham-Marcos Nanez Gomez in the final (6-2 6-1).
