Omar, Wael, Youssef and the others: home talents shine in Egypt

Spectacular shots, a desire to have fun and seven trophies awarded. These were the ingredients of the FIP Promises Playa, the Egyptian stage of the circuit dedicated to the world’s young padel talents, held in Egypt over the weekend. The home NextGen played a leading role in the tournament: two girls and one boy achieved a double.

 

In the girls’ Under 14 category, Jaya Omar and Natalie Robert claimed the title with a victory in the final over Hana Hossam-Sala Salem (6-0 7-5). Omar then also triumphed in the Under 16 category, winning the title alongside Lily Wael against Karma Ellakany-Sama Salem (6-0 7-5). The same Weal also claimed the Under 18 title. Among the boys, Yassin Omar Youssef became Under 16 and Under 18 champion, partnering Youssef El Sherbini and Mohamed Atef Shebl, respectively.
